Donyi Polo in Arunachal Pradesh was planted in 1986, the first tea garden in this state. Three major variety of tea plants - Assamica, Chinary and Cambodia are grown here. This tea, an oolong, is made from a mix of China and Assam clones. It's quite a non-traditional oolong, and resembles a white tea in character, with sweet vegetal and woody flavors.
