Darjeeling’s first flush blacks are some to cherish. This one from the lush Goomtee is fragrant with notes of walnuts, fruits and veggies. The lightly brisk cup starts out with soft nutty nuances that give way to more raw sweet notes mixed with savoury notes of rhubarb. A dash of floral tart flavors of white currants also add a delightful layer to the cup. The liquor is well rounded in the end by light woody flavors and an aftertaste of green papaya makes the cup quite remarkable.
